Lumière Photography

These are the Lumière brothers. On the left is Auguste and on the right is Louis. They were sons of a well known portrait painter and both excelled in science and technology. By early 1895, they had invented their own camera which also had a printer and projector (Cinematographe). The Cinematographe was much smaller and weighted less than Thomas Edison’s Kinetograph.
